The Advantages of Omega 3
In our society, diseases of the heart are a major killer. My doctor told me that eating fish that have a lot of omega 3 will help me tremendously. He told me to eat salmon, snapper, krill and scallops. There are some vegetables and fruit that also contain omega 3, but these are not absorbed as easily as those in fish. My doctor said that if I can’t eat fish every day, I should take the omega 3 in supplement form. I try to eat fish daily but it’s hard, so I take omega 3 supplements too.
Besides for being good for the heart, omega 3 also helps to reduce inflammation and is good for the brain as well. My doctor said that I have the beginnings of arthritis and that the fatty acids from omega 3 supplements will help with that too. I hope so, because I don’t want to feel pain every time I bend my knees or my hands.
